Nikkah Dresses for Canadian Brides
Nikkah dresses at Shadi Dress are bridal outfits for the ceremony itself: gowns, maxis, frocks with lehenga, ghararas and shararas in ivory, white, gold, pastels, green, pink and red. Every dress is made in our own workshops after you order, to the measurements you confirm, and the design can be customised, from sleeves and neckline to dupatta and colour. Work ranges from tonal zardozi, dabka and gota to pearls and sequins. Many brides choose a lighter Nikkah look that can carry on to the Walima. You get photo and video updates while your dress is made and a video before it ships. Scroll down and pick your favorite dress!

Green, pink and the other Nikkah colours
Green sets a Nikkah look apart from both a white ceremony and a red Baraat: mint and sea green read fresh, sage is muted, and bottle green is deep enough for an evening hall. Pinks go from baby and pastel to dusty, rose and tea pink; blues run from icy pale to navy; and lilac, peach, apricot, gold, silver and grey sit in between. Ivory, white, off-white and cream remain the classic choice, and reds from bright red to maroon suit a bride who wants one colour across both days. If a single outfit has to cover the Nikkah and the Walima, compare it with our Walima bridal dresses.
Simple or fully worked
A simpler Nikkah look can come from the finish of the embroidery rather than from bare fabric. Tonal, self-colour work sits close to the fabric shade, while antique gold and antique silver give a softer sheen than bright metallic work. Choose a medium-embroidered design if you want lighter handwork.
Coverage for the ceremony
Pick a high neck or a closed back if you want them; boat, round, V, sweetheart and square necklines are made too, and sleeves can reach the wrist. A 3.5-yard organza or chiffon dupatta drapes over the head or over a hijab through the Nikkah, with masuri, net and silk dupattas as other options. Every bridal design is open to Full Custom Design: tell us before ordering if you need more coverage, and we confirm the cost of any extra fabric, embroidery or labour before work starts.
Which shape suits your ceremony
Gowns and maxis give a single unbroken line; the open gown version reveals a lehenga at the front. A lehenga choli brings the most volume, its skirt cut in panels or as a full circle, while a lehenga kurti or a long shirt over a lehenga covers the waist. A pishwas swings from the bodice over its lehenga, and a gharara set stays fitted to the knee before the flare, with farshi versions that sweep the floor. For a ceremony where you sit for a while, a hem without a trail is the easiest to manage.
Made to measure and delivered across Canada
Our sizing chart gives the standard sizes; with Custom Size, the dress is stitched exactly to the measurements you send, and our team follows up after your order to collect them all. Sizes are worked out in inches, with centimetres given for reference. If you sit between two sizes, choose the larger. You can ask for progress photos and close-up videos while your dress is made. We sell online only, without a showroom, and couriers deliver from Pakistan directly to your door. Bridal times are calendar days from the day after you order, covering stitching and shipping:
- Normal Delivery: up to 3 months, free
- Rush Delivery: up to 30 calendar days, CAD $59
- Super Rush Delivery: up to 14 calendar days, CAD $199
Import charges are normally prepaid by us; if a courier ever asks you for customs, duty or tax, send us the receipt and we refund the verified amount. Cancel a bridal order within 24 hours and you get a full refund; a later cancellation before dispatch has 35% of the amount paid deducted. See our delivery terms for Canada.
Nikkah outfit questions
Should I choose a gown or a lehenga for my Nikah?
Think about how you want to move and sit. A gown is simple to manage and keeps one clean line; a lehenga lets you pair a short choli, a kurti or a longer shirt with the skirt, and its fullness spreads well when you are seated for photographs. Compare more of each in our bridal gowns and bridal lehenga range.
What should Nikkah guests wear?
This category is bridal wear. For guests we have Pakistani wedding guest outfits, sewn from branded unstitched fabric that we buy directly from Pakistani labels. Guest outfits take up to 18 calendar days and ship for CAD $9.99, or free on orders from CAD $200.
Do you have Nikkah outfits for men?
Yes: we stitch groom sherwanis in our own workshops as well, in standard sizes S to XL or to his own measurements. Bridal and groom orders use the same delivery options, so you can plan both outfits around one date.
Do Nikkah dresses show their prices?
Each dress shows its price, and you can sort this page by price from low to high or high to low. A design change that needs extra fabric, embroidery or labour gets its own price before work starts, and Rush Delivery or Super Rush Delivery costs extra only when you select it.
