About Anaya by Kiran Chaudhry

Anaya began in Lahore in 2016 as a lawn and luxury formals label founded by Kiran Chaudhry. Couture followed in 2019. Its first bridal collection, La Vie en Rose, appeared at Bridal Couture Week that December. Bridal remains a smaller line for the brand, whose main business is lawn, pret and formals pitched as designer style at high-street prices. The notes below draw on that debut collection.

Signature Silhouettes: Fishtail Gown, Fitted Flare and Lehenga

The debut leaned toward French-influenced tailoring. Fishtail skirts, fitted-and-flared shapes and knife-pleat drapes shared the runway with a lehenga or two, and one look paired a jumpsuit with a cape. Necklines were sweetheart or asymmetric. Embellishment came from pearls, cut stones, crystals and brooches, while tulle, organza, silk net and raw silk kept each piece airy. Steel grey and pale gold completed the palette. That pastel mood suits a reception too, which our Walima dresses are made for.

Can the fishtail become a flared lehenga?
