About Fahad Hussayn

Fahad Hussayn runs a bridal couture house from Lahore, with a studio in Karachi as well. The name is spelled Hussayn, not Hussain. His collections draw on Punjabi folklore, courtesans, churails and old royal courts, and press has described some of his shows as dark, almost gothic theatre. A more economical line, Print Museum, carries his motifs into wedding formals. Menagerie, his jewellery line, completes the house.

Signature Silhouettes: Anarkali with Gharara, Lehenga and Sari

An anarkali-style gown over a gharara appears in his bridal line. A lehenga with a full-sleeve choli comes next, and saris and angarkha cuts appear in several collections. Colour rarely stays in one family. Ruby and wine meet emerald, fuchsia or turquoise. One piece melts crimson into amber.
