What Asian Bridal Means
In British usage and across the South Asian wedding trade, Asian bridal means South Asian bridal wear, and this page uses it that way: Pakistani, Indian and Bangladeshi. Each tradition has its own staple. Pakistani brides often wear a lehenga or gharara for the Baraat, with red, maroon and gold as the classic colours. In India, lehengas lead in the north and sarees in the south. For Bengali brides, a red Benarasi saree has been the standard for generations, though lehengas have grown popular since the early 2000s.
Shop by Tradition and Style
- Pakistani: lehengas, ghararas and pishwas for the Baraat, with softer shades for the Nikkah and Walima. Start with our bridal lehengas or farshi ghararas.
- Indian and Bengali: lehengas and bridal sarees.
- Punjabi: a bridal suit as an alternative to the lehenga, in our Punjabi bridal suits.
- Modest: fuller sleeves, higher necklines and longer hemlines, collected in our Islamic wedding dresses.
- Reception: evening lehengas, gowns and sarees in our reception dresses.
Made to Measure, Whatever the Tradition
One process serves every tradition. Every bridal outfit here is made after you order, to your submitted and confirmed measurements. Colour, embroidery amount, neckline, sleeves and dupatta can change where the design allows. Anything that adds material or labour is quoted before production. Have a photo of a look from any South Asian tradition? Send it for a feasibility check and a separate quotation before anything is cut. While your outfit is in the workshop, you can ask for progress photos, close-up videos or an embroidery sample.
Asian Bridal FAQs
Can you make a Bengali-style bridal saree?
Yes, from a reference. Send a photo of the saree you have in mind, and we check what is feasible, including the fabric, before quoting it separately.
How long does delivery take?
Rush, at CAD $59, takes up to 30 calendar days, and Super Rush, at CAD $199, up to 14. Every timeline counts calendar days from the day after you order and covers production and shipping. Tell us your event date at the time of ordering.
Is this the same as your Pakistani bridal collection?
It overlaps. This page gathers bridal looks across South Asian traditions, while our Pakistani collection focuses on Pakistani cuts such as the gharara and pishwas.
