About Sadaf Fawad Khan

Sadaf Fawad Khan, often shortened to SFK, is a Lahore label with bridal wear at its core. The label began in 2012 and took the SFK Bridals name in 2016. Formals, luxury pret, lawn and menswear sit alongside. In a 2017 interview, the label spoke of using negative space instead of covering every inch with embroidery. Vines and palm trees recur in its bridal motifs.

Signature Silhouettes: Peshwas, Peplum and Mermaid Skirt

A peshwas over a lehenga is the most frequent SFK shape. A peplum over a lehenga and a maxi shirt with a net mermaid skirt add variety, while brocade or velvet shararas suit cooler months. Net, often zari net, is the main base. Nakshi, dabka, pearl mesh and jaali fill the motifs. Scalloped borders frame the dupatta. Motifs are placed with open ground between them, so the fabric shows through. Sampled bridals show onion pink, silver-gold and cranberry red.
