What sets the price of a bridal lehenga

Three things move the price of a bridal lehenga more than anything else. The silhouette: a floor-sweeping farshi skirt, or a long shirt or peshwas worn over the lehenga, uses more fabric than a lehenga choli. The fabric itself: velvet, raw silk, jamawar, tissue silk and organza differ in weight and finish. The handwork: how much dabka, zari, nakshi, salma sitara and kora covers the skirt, the top and the dupatta border, and whether heavier zardozi, cutdana or tilla is added. Anything you ask us to change that adds fabric, embroidery or labour is priced and agreed with you before work starts. Normal Delivery costs nothing; Rush Delivery and Super Rush Delivery are extras you choose only if your date needs them.

Choosing the silhouette

Decide first how much skirt you want to show. A blouse-length choli leaves all of it visible; a kurti or mid-length shirt reaches the hips; with a long shirt, a peshwas or an open gown on top, you see only the lower skirt, and you get the most coverage. Underneath, skirts are panelled from kalis, such as 12 or 14 tapering panels, or cut as a full circle, and a cancan layer can hold them out. For a hem that rests on the floor and can end in a trail, see our farshi lehenga designs.

Colour for each function

Red and maroon with gold, antique gold or copper work remain the classic colours for the baraat, and for many Punjabi and Indian weddings too; compare shades in our red and maroon lehenga range. Many brides keep the nikkah pale with a white bridal lehenga in ivory, white or off-white, worked in silver or rose gold. The walima and reception suit pinks, gold, lilac or ice blue. For the mehndi, where yellows and greens lead, see our mehndi lehenga choices.

Delivery, fit and customs across Canada

Delivery periods start the day after you order, run in calendar days and include stitching and shipping:

  • Normal Delivery: up to 3 months, free
  • Rush Delivery: up to 30 calendar days, CAD $59
  • Super Rush Delivery: up to 14 calendar days, CAD $199

Choose a standard size with our size guide for Canada, taking the larger size if you are between two, or Custom Size, stitched exactly to your measurements; our team contacts you after you order to collect them. Import charges are normally prepaid by us; if a courier ever asks you for customs, duty or tax, send us the receipt and we refund the verified amount. A bridal order cancelled within 24 hours is refunded in full; after that, and before dispatch, 35% of the amount paid is deducted. Full terms are on our Canada delivery page.

Bridal lehenga FAQs

How can I pay?

By PayPal, card or bank transfer. The price you see on each design is in Canadian dollars, and any design change that adds fabric, embroidery or labour is priced for your approval before you pay for it. If an approved cancellation leads to a refund, it goes back to the payment method you used within up to 15 business days.

How far ahead should I order from Canada?

Normal Delivery is free and takes up to 3 months, counted from the day after you order and covering stitching and shipping, so order at least that far ahead with a few days to spare. If the date is closer, Rush Delivery (CAD $59) takes up to 30 calendar days and Super Rush Delivery (CAD $199) up to 14.

Can I see my lehenga before it ships?

Yes. Ask on WhatsApp for progress photos and close-up videos while it is being made, so you can check the colour and the embroidery from Canada. Pale shades and metallic thread change from screen to screen, so the real fabric on video tells you more than any product photo.

Should I choose a lehenga or a gharara?

Choose the lehenga if you want one wide skirt and the classic bridal volume; choose the gharara if you prefer two legs that sit close to the knee and flare from a gathered joint. Compare the two in our gharara for the bride range, or see gowns and pishwas in our Pakistani bridal outfits.

Are there lehengas for the bride’s family and guests?

Yes, in a separate range. Our guest lehenga collection starts from branded unstitched fabric bought directly from Pakistani labels, with delivery to Canadian addresses within up to 18 calendar days for CAD $9.99, or free from CAD $200. Rush Delivery and Super Rush Delivery are not normally available for guest wear, so order family outfits early.
