Punjabi Bridal Suits: Shop Bridal Looks & Choose a Dupatta
Punjabi bridal suits traditionally pair a kameez with a salwar and a dupatta, which can cover your head for the ceremony, so choose the outfit and dupatta together. Ours put the kameez over a gharara or sharara; some long frocks come with trousers or a shalwar, and a lehenga is there if you want a full skirt. The dupatta comes in organza, chiffon, silk or masuri, and some designs have two. Every piece is embroidered in our own workshops and stitched after you order, and Normal Delivery anywhere in Canada is free.

Organza, chiffon or silk
Organza is the crispest: it stands away from the face, holds a pin through a long day and shows dabka and sequin borders sharply. Chiffon is light and sheer, falls close over the shoulders and needs more pins on the head. Silk has a soft sheen and enough weight to sit still once placed. To keep your head covered all day, pick organza or silk; for a dupatta worn mainly over the shoulders, chiffon is the lightest. Some designs use masuri instead; ask for a close-up video of it while your outfit is being made.
One dupatta or two
A single dupatta does both jobs: over the head for the ceremony, then across the shoulders or arms for the photographs. Designs with two dupattas split them, one pinned on the head, the other draped across the body or the skirt. For another fabric or colour, or a second dupatta, ask before you order: every bridal design can be ordered as Full Custom Design, and anything that adds fabric, embroidery or labour is priced first.
What goes under the dupatta
A gharara is fitted to the knee and flares below it; a sharara flares from the hip. Both are easy to sit in; compare them in our bridal gharara and sharara line. For a salwar instead, ask before you order and we confirm whether the design allows it. A lehenga gives the full skirt, under a short choli or a long kurti; see our bridal lehengas for the main day. Some of our bridal angrakha frocks are worn over trousers or a shalwar. Relatives can look at our salwar kameez for the family.
Colours and work
Red, deep red and maroon remain the classic Punjabi bridal colours, worked in gold, rose gold, antique gold and, on maroon, copper. Baby and dusty pink, ivory and ice blue carry silver and rose-gold work for a softer look that suits the nikkah; see our nikkah bridal outfits. Every other bridal shape is in our wider Pakistani bridal range.

Punjabi bridal suit questions
Does a Punjabi bridal suit work for an Anand Karaj?
Yes. You sit on the floor before the Guru Granth Sahib and walk the four laavan, so a kameez over a gharara or sharara without a trail moves well, and some gurdwaras ask brides for a suit rather than a lehenga, or full sleeves and a covered midriff; check yours first. Keep the head dupatta in organza or silk so it stays pinned, and tell our team you will be barefoot inside.
How much is a Punjabi bridal suit?
Every design shows its price in Canadian dollars, and the grid can be sorted by price. A kameez with a gharara usually takes less fabric than a full lehenga, while all-over dabka and zari take more labour than selective work. Changes are quoted for your approval first, and the CAD $59 Rush Delivery or CAD $199 Super Rush Delivery is charged only when you select it.
Can I see the dupatta while my outfit is being made?
Yes. Ask on WhatsApp for progress photos and close-up videos during production, and ask for close-ups of the dupatta: its border, how far the work spreads and how sheer the fabric is are hard to judge from product photos alone.
