Design and silhouette

A fitted blouse meets a wide, flared lehenga, with two contrasting dupattas completing the look. The blouse is cut in tissue with a square front neckline, a round back neckline and half sleeves. Large mirrored gold motifs curl across the chest on either side of a narrow vertical trim, and each sleeve ends in its own decorated edge.

The lehenga, also in tissue, is built with panels, 14 kalis and cancan to support its broad ghera, and it has no trail. Gold is the main colour, with rust and copper undertones showing through the metallic surface. Small floral sprigs are spaced across the skirt with open ground between them; towards the hem the work closes into a darker, lattice-like band of gold floral scrollwork, finished by a scalloped edge.

The two dupattas are in champagne and wine. The champagne dupatta is translucent, with small scattered motifs and a broad, dense floral-gold border; the wine dupatta carries fine reflective dots and a narrower gold trim.

Copper beneath the gold

Gold is the name this dress carries, yet its surface keeps leaning towards copper. In daylight, the long radial folds of this gold Baraat lehenga choli catch sharp metallic highlights; under warmer light the same ground deepens to rust. Because the base is never a flat yellow, the antique-gold work sitting on it looks burnished rather than gilded.

The embroidery is placed with restraint. Mirrored, curling motifs crowd the blouse on either side of its narrow central trim, holding the eye at the chest. Below, the skirt opens into wide ground with only small sprigs, so the polished surface is left to show. Then the hem gathers everything in again: a dark lattice-like band, heavy gold scrollwork and a rim of rounded scallops. With the field kept quiet, that border gives the broad ghera its weight and a clear edge.

Two dupattas finish the reading. Champagne, translucent and framed in a thick floral edge, lifts one side; wine, flecked with fine points of light, deepens the other. One warms the copper. The other darkens it.

Occasion and styling

Named for the Baraat, this lehenga choli suits the Nikkah and Walima as well. For the Baraat, wear both dupattas as photographed: the champagne dupatta over the head as a veil, the wine dupatta falling from the opposite shoulder. For a lighter Nikkah or Walima look, either dupatta can be worn on its own.

Antique-gold jewellery picks up the tone of the embroidery, and bangles in wine or pink keep the warm palette consistent. Jewellery, bags and other accessories in the photographs are styling only and are not part of the outfit. See the full gold bridal lehenga collection.

You stay in control until it ships

Watch it being made

Ask us at any stage and we send photographs or video of your actual outfit — from the first sketch through the embroidery frame to the finished garment. Ask as often as you like on WhatsApp.

A complete video before it ships

Before the parcel is sealed we send you a full video of the finished outfit. If a detail needs adjusting, tell us then and we make the change where it is workable. Nothing leaves us until you have seen it.

Exactly what you see

The photographs and video on this page are of the outfit we make — the same fabrics, the same handwork, the same weight in the hand. A screen can only carry so much: it cannot show how the zardozi catches light as you turn, or how the ghera moves when you walk. That is why we send you a video of your own outfit before it ships, so you judge the real thing rather than a photograph.

Sizing & Measurements

Choose a standard size, or select Customised Size and we stitch to your own measurements at no extra cost.

Your size or measurement details are provided before checkout is completed, which is why production can begin the day after you order. If a measurement is unclear, send it to us on WhatsApp before you submit it and our team will confirm it with you.

Size guide and how to measure

Care

  1. Always put paper between the layers when you fold it away. Kora, dabka and nakshi are metallic wire, and the fabric underneath them is fine. Every time the outfit is opened or folded, a stitch on one layer can catch the layer pressed against it and tear through it. A sheet of tissue or plain paper between the layers keeps the wire work away from the cloth, and it costs nothing. Use plain paper rather than newspaper on pale or ivory fabrics, because newsprint ink can mark them.
  2. Store it folded, not hanging. A heavily worked outfit is heavy, and months on a hanger pull the weight onto the shoulder seams.
  3. Dry clean only. Hand and machine washing damages metallic embroidery. Tell your cleaner the outfit carries zardozi, dabka or similar metallic handwork so it is cleaned by hand rather than by machine.
  4. Keep it away from direct sunlight and damp. Perfume and hairspray go on before the outfit, not after.

Questions About This Outfit

Can the design be customised?

Yes. Most customers ask for the design to be made a little more modest — higher neckline, longer or fuller sleeves, more coverage at the back, a longer shirt. Tell us what you want changed on WhatsApp before you order so the pattern is cut correctly the first time. Colour, embroidery colour, sleeves, neckline and length are all adjustable on most designs.

Will the dress look exactly like the photographs?

It will be very close, and we do not compromise on the embroidery or the fabric. Two honest exceptions: the colour shade can look slightly different because of studio lighting and your screen, and because every customer's height and body type is different, a pattern may need to be adjusted so the design sits correctly on you — on a shorter frame, for example, part of the shirt pattern may have to be re-cut. Ask for the final video before dispatch and you will see the actual garment before it ships.

Can I return or exchange it after delivery?

No. Every outfit is cut and stitched for one customer, so it cannot be resold or swapped for another size. That is exactly why the review happens before dispatch: ask for progress photographs and video at any stage, and for the complete final video before your order ships. An order can still be cancelled before dispatch — the windows and deductions are set out in our return policy.

Is there any extra cost on top of the price shown?

No hidden charges. The price you see is the price of the outfit. The only additions are the ones you choose yourself: Rush or Super Rush delivery, and any paid add-ons such as jewellery. Each is priced clearly before you pay.

Can I get matching jewellery with this outfit?

Yes. Matching earrings, necklace and related pieces are available as paid add-ons on this product — select them before you add the outfit to your basket and they are made and shipped with the same order.

Can I get a matching hijab or an extra dupatta?

Yes. Both are possible. Message us on WhatsApp when you place your order and we will tell you exactly how to arrange it.

Is Rush or Super Rush delivery available for this outfit?

Yes, on bridal and groom wear. The Estimated Delivery Timeline box near the top of this page shows live dates for Free, Rush and Super Rush against today's date, so it is always accurate for your order.
