The Maroon Nikkah Dress is a three-piece Farshi lehenga โ shirt, lehenga and dupatta โ in maroon with red as an accent. It is designed for a Nikkah first, while its full bridal silhouette also works for Baraat and Walima styling.
The Quiet Majesty of Maroon
Maroon is less a colour than a mood. Red is bright and quick; maroon has the settled seriousness that belongs only to the moments when a life actually turns. It is wine that has sat long enough to darken at the bottom of the decanter โ deeper, slower, a little heady. A Nikkah is that same kind of moment: not noise, but a held silence with its own beauty.
On this dress the artisan did not so much run a needle through cloth as write a prayer on it. The gold rises from the chest and spreads toward the hem the way bougainvillea climbs the wall of an old haveli. Where silver and paler tones come through, they read like moonlight over a gold sea and give the eye somewhere to rest. That is the skill in it: the work is heavy, but it is not oppressive.
Gold on a wine-dark ground follows the logic of Mughal painting โ a deep background with light written across it. When the bordered dupatta is drawn over the head, the face sits inside it like a stone set in a gold arch. Ideal for a Nikkah, and no less at home at a Baraat.
In the photographs the model wears a gold choker with strands of emerald โ the old agreement between red and green. Kundan and polki would work as well, or the soft white of pearls, or drops of ruby. The jewellery is styling only and is not part of the outfit, and each choice opens the dress differently.
Which Event Is It For?
The deep maroon colour, gold-led embroidery and covered cut โ full sleeves, boat neckline and closed back โ give this design a strong Nikkah identity, and it sits naturally with the rest of our Nikkah dresses.
The circular full ghera and richly embroidered finish also make it suitable for a Baraat.
For a Walima, it works if maroon is the direction you want for that event.
The Three Pieces
The shirt is net and silk lined, with a length of 38 to 44 inches. The lehenga is Jamawar, while the dupatta is chiffon and measures 3.5 yards.
The combination of these three different surfaces creates visual variation across the embroidered outfit. The dupatta length also allows it to be taken over the head and across the shoulder as part of a bridal drape.
Silhouette and the Optional Trail
The skirt is a circular full ghera reaching the floor, with an attached cancan included. The cancan helps keep the ghera open and supports the flare while standing and moving.
The long shirt covers more of the lehenga than a short choli would, shifting the visual emphasis toward a longer line before the fullness opens lower in the silhouette.
The trail is optional, so the rear profile is your decision โ add it for a longer entrance and formal-photo silhouette, or leave it off for easier movement.
The outfit weighs around 10 kg, which is useful to factor in when planning how long you may be wearing it.

The Embroidery, Read Closely
The work covers the full shirt front, full sleeves, borders across the back of the shirt, dupatta borders and full lehenga ghera.
Dabka, kora, nakshi, resham thread work, sequin work, spray work, zardozi, zari work and Salma Sitara are used together across these areas.
Crystals, pearls and sequins add further texture and points of reflection.
Antique gold, copper and gold bring warmer tones against the maroon base, while silver and pastel multi add contrast at closer range.
What Can Be Changed
The dress is available in standard or custom size. Custom-size orders are stitched to the supplied measurements.
You can request a colour change, dupatta change, embroidery colour change, neckline or sleeve change, ghera adjustment, length adjustment or full custom design. These options allow the design details and proportions to be adjusted according to your preferences.
Additional embroidery beyond the original design is quoted separately.

Care
- Always put paper between the layers when you fold it away. Kora, dabka and nakshi are metallic wire, and the fabric underneath them is fine. Every time the outfit is opened or folded, a stitch on one layer can catch the layer pressed against it and tear through it. A sheet of tissue or plain paper between the layers keeps the wire work away from the cloth, and it costs nothing. Use plain paper rather than newspaper on pale or ivory fabrics, because newsprint ink can mark them.
- Store it folded, not hanging. A heavily worked outfit is heavy, and months on a hanger pull the weight onto the shoulder seams.
- Dry clean only. Hand and machine washing damages metallic embroidery. Tell your cleaner the outfit carries zardozi, dabka or similar metallic handwork so it is cleaned by hand rather than by machine.
- Keep it away from direct sunlight and damp. Perfume and hairspray go on before the outfit, not after.
Questions About This Outfit
Can the design be customised?
Yes. Most customers ask for the design to be made a little more modest โ higher neckline, longer or fuller sleeves, more coverage at the back, a longer shirt. Tell us what you want changed on WhatsApp before you order so the pattern is cut correctly the first time. Colour, embroidery colour, sleeves, neckline and length are all adjustable on most designs.
Will the dress look exactly like the photographs?
It will be very close, and we do not compromise on the embroidery or the fabric. Two honest exceptions: the colour shade can look slightly different because of studio lighting and your screen, and because every customer's height and body type is different, a pattern may need to be adjusted so the design sits correctly on you โ on a shorter frame, for example, part of the shirt pattern may have to be re-cut. Ask for the final video before dispatch and you will see the actual garment before it ships.
Can I return or exchange it after delivery?
No. Every outfit is cut and stitched for one customer, so it cannot be resold or swapped for another size. That is exactly why the review happens before dispatch: ask for progress photographs and video at any stage, and for the complete final video before your order ships. An order can still be cancelled before dispatch โ the windows and deductions are set out in our return policy.
Is there any extra cost on top of the price shown?
No hidden charges. The price you see is the price of the outfit. The only additions are the ones you choose yourself: Rush or Super Rush delivery, and any paid add-ons such as jewellery. Each is priced clearly before you pay.
Can I get matching jewellery with this outfit?
Yes. Matching earrings, necklace and related pieces are available as paid add-ons on this product โ select them before you add the outfit to your basket and they are made and shipped with the same order.
Can I get a matching hijab or an extra dupatta?
Yes. Both are possible. Message us on WhatsApp when you place your order and we will tell you exactly how to arrange it.
Is Rush or Super Rush delivery available for this outfit?
Yes, on bridal and groom wear. The Estimated Delivery Timeline box near the top of this page shows live dates for Free, Rush and Super Rush against today's date, so it is always accurate for your order.
